Continuing Education: MyCE

Innoventive System Solutions began providing CE and CME in March 2003. Occupational Therapists, Pharmacists, Physicians and other health professionals can earn hours of CE or CME credit via programs accredited through ISS in person and online. Additionally ISS is currently beta-testing the myCE program that is a web based software service which allows medical professionals an easy way to track required continuing education. This electronic database permits medical professionals an electronic method to track attained CE/CMEs, while also reporting information on what is needed to meet their individual state continuing education requirements.

Registered users will be given access to several features, including:

CE Tracking: Managing of all continuing medical education credits at our site. This includes courses taken at our site OR CE from other sites, monographs and organizations.

License Cycle Tracking - Track multiple license cycles for different states.

License Requirements - An updated database has been developed for the individual state board requirements. Users are notified quarterly on how many hours of continuing education credits are needed to complete said requirements (including live and required courses).

Additionally ISS Support Services Division builds and maintains web sites and intranets. It provides customized CE meeting planning solutions and methods for helping associations provide complete meeting services to their members. This includes scanable CE formats (for fast CEU credit issuance) to quality ID card badges for board members, association members, or meeting attendees.

ISS is committed to improving the state of continuing medical education (CME) programs for health professionals by:

  1. Developing and evaluating innovative approaches to CME
  2. Promoting interactive, evidence-based, "problem-solving" CME programs
  3. Working with first-tier academic centers and professional societies to enhance their online education programs
  4. Performing peer-reviewed research in medical education, and creating an open community for suggestions, ideas, and constructive criticism of CME programs
  5. The needs assessment focus is clinical and practical. For example, what does a practicing physician need to know? What timely and relevant studies have been reported recently and what do their results tell us? Where can a busy physician find information and acquire CME credit quickly?

ISS is supported primarily by fees from individual users and organizations that desire a venue for ethical and quality continuing education programs for healthcare professionals. Some course development is supported by grants from healthcare organizations, and these sources of support are always identified on the course information page. ISS only offers courses supported by educational grants from pharmaceutical or device companies once a complete an independent needs assessment has been completed by our autonomous panel of physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other medical professionals.
